About Empty The Bench
The original idea of Empty the Bench began when Nick Morgasen, Tom Albano, and Nick Fodera met in a journalism class at Hofstra University. Nick Morgasen had the vision for his own media website that would host podcasts and written articles. While the website idea didn't fully come to fruition, Tom and Nick Fodera, both of whom were originally brought on for Nick Morgasen's site, committed to the idea of hosting a podcast.
About six years and many changes later, they are still going strong. And what started as one podcast has turned into a network. While the Empty the Bench Network still holds its roots in sports (as seen through programs like ETB Sports, Game On & The MMA Outsiders), it has added other kinds of programming over the last year or so that highlight different focuses from pop culture to lifestyle.
No matter your taste, ETB has something for you. And no matter the show, the hosts of ETB come together for the same purpose: To entertain, to engage, to inform, and to leave nothing on the bench!

Early 2021 still in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic Nico and Nick Morgasen met through mutual friends and realized we were very similar and shared the same work ethics, goals and aspirations in this industry. Outside of all this Nico is from Livingston New Jersey and after graduating from Livingston High School in 2015 was dealt his hand at life and like the rest of us had a far fetched dream to be in this industry that he knew he could obtain and was willing to hurdle over all those obstacles to reach them.
