Carolina Panthers Owner David Tepper Throws A Drink At Jaguars Fans Amid Another Loss To Cap Off A Disastrous Season. By: Brody Sorbera
Nothing has gone right for the team with the league’s worst record. The Carolina Panthers are sitting at a pathetic 2-14 record with one week left and to make matters worse they won’t even get the first overall pick as they traded that, another first-round pick, and DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears, a team that looks like it’s improving could be deadly next year if everything goes right and the players develop more. You can’t say the same for the Panthers, a team that had so much promise with a major college star Bryce Young but the preseason hype died quickly as Young struggled with a lack of talent around him and a bad offensive line which left him getting eaten alive by deficiences all year. A young quarterback usually struggles in his first year adjusting to the pro-level but being surrounded by a terrible team certainly doesn't help matters.
All of this boiled over during a blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars where David Tepper in a video appears to throw a drink at a Jaguars fan and storm off, this outburst solidifies how this season has gone for Carolina as the team also got shut out to add insult to injury and fans are just begging for the season to be over. David Tepper has never achieved a winning season in his short tenure as Panthers owner as this is his sixth straight losing season since he bought the team in 2018. He has gone through a total of 5 coaches in 6 years and this year's ticket prices were as low as 45 cents, no you did not misread that, 45 cents. With those prices, you would think inflation has suddenly reverted 70 years and we were paying 1950s prices.
There are a lot of unanswered questions this offseason what desperately needed improvements to come about if any, can they build a team around Bryce Young, what Head Coach is willing to come over to fix this mess, and how can they build a team without two of their first overall picks and will they stop making trades that do nothing but hurts them in the long-term future. You can
only goes up from here but I’m not making any bets on it. This team has a history of burning through talent and coaches like they were nothing and is being garnered as one of the most poorly run organizations in all of football, the ball is in Mr. Tepper’s court to turn this around.
