D-Man’s WWE Crown Jewel Report

I’m Dan “D-Man” Schreiber from the Empty The Bench Podcast Network. I’m a big wrestling fan. I also enjoy going to wrestling signings. I have met many current WWE wrestlers in the past. Here are a few: John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, Finn Balor, etc. I’m going to explain my thoughts for this week’s WWE pay-per-view Crown Jewel

Pre-Show Match

Sami Zayn vs. JD McDonagh:

-It was a pretty good match. Both wrestlers put up a good fight. I was guessing Zayn would win the match. I guessed right and Zayn picked up the victory.

Main Matches

Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship:

-This was a great physical match. I thought maybe Rollins’s days were numbered against McIntyre because he is a tough wrestler to beat. No matter how much McIntyre was targeting Rollin’s back. He overcame and retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

-I found it great and hysterical after the match. Damien Priest would cash in the Money In The Bank Briefcase on Rollins. Then, right before he was about to cash in, someone I couldn’t recognize covered up wearing a hoodie and mask, attacked Priest. Then, the person revealed himself. It was Sami Zayn, and I thought it was great he stopped the cash in. Then he stole the Money In The Bank Briefcase and ran away with it. I’m glad the cash-in didn’t happen and Rollins is still champion. Rollins is such a great fighting champion.

Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Zoey Stark vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Rhea Ripley in a Fatal Five-Way Match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship:

-I thought the match was pretty good. There was physical and high-flying action during the match coming from all of them. I had a feeling Rhea Ripley would win the match. I guessed right, and Rhea Ripley was victorious, retaining the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa:

-I thought Cena was going to define the odds and defeat Sikoa. It was a great physical match. Cena put up the best effort he could to try to beat Sikoa. Sikoa ended up being too much to handle for Cena. I found it shocking after Sikoa did eleven Samoan Spikes, and he defeated Cena.

-I know Cena was talking about retirement. It will remain to be seen if this was Cena’s last match.

Logan Paul vs. Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship:

-I thought Mysterio would defeat Paul and retain the title. It was a good match with a lot of high-flying action. I’m not happy that jackass Paul cheated with brass knuckles to knock out Mysterio and defeat him for the WWE United States Championship.

-I hope Mysterio goes after a rematch against Paul to try and get his title back.

Bianca Belair vs. Iyo Sky for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship:

-I thought Belair was going to win the title against Sky. It was too tough for Belair to handle because it was a 3-on-1 situation against her. Bayley from her tag team group Damage CTRL which Sky is also part of kept on interfering to try and help Sky win. I was so surprised to see Kairi Sane making her WWE return by interfering and attacking Belair during the match to help Sky retain the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

-The match was good. It was a great surprise seeing Sane returning to WWE and she is a great wrestler.

Damien Priest vs. Cody Rhodes:

-It was a great match. I didn’t know if Cody Rhodes would be able to defeat Priest since the other members of his tag team group The Judgment Day of Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh were interfering in the match to try to help Priest win. I was so glad Jey Uso came down to ringside to get Rhodes’s back and attack to chase away those members of The Judgement Day with a steel chair. Rhodes overcame the odds and picked the victory.

-We will see the next chapter in Rhodes's story.

LA Knight vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship:

-This was a great close match. I thought it would be cool if Knight won the title. Reigns’ tag team group The Bloodline of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso were interfering to help Reigns win. Knight tried his best to overcome the odds of interfering. The interference cost him the match and Reigns retained the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.

-I had a feeling Reigns would retain the title. We will see who will be the next challenger for Reigns’s WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.

I hope you enjoyed my blog on this week’s WWE pay-per-view Crown Jewel.

Yours truly,
