D-Man’s WWE Smackdown Report: Will Roman Reigns WWE Championship Reign Continue? By Daniel Schreiber

I’m Dan “D-Man” Schreiber from the Empty The Bench Podcast Network. I’m a big wrestling fan. I also enjoy going to wrestling signings. I have met many current WWE wrestlers in the past. Here are a few: John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, Finn Balor etc. I’m going to explain my thoughts for this week’s WWE Smackdown.

Roman Reigns & LA Knight WWE Championship Contract Signing:

-I thought the contract signing segment was pretty great and funny. It was funny how Knight talked to Reigns and said he would defeat him for the championship at the pay-per-view WWE Crown Jewel. Knight sure is a great talker on the mic!

-After they both signed the contract, I had a feeling this would happen. Reigns then attacked Knight and tried to put him through a table. Knight was able to fight back and had him laid out on the ground. All of a sudden Jimmy Uso interfered and attacked Knight to save Reigns so he could escape out of the ring. After Reigns told Uso to put him through the table while he was outside the ring. Then Knight all of a sudden put Uso through the table.

-I thought it was great that someone ended up going through a table, and even better that it was Knight going over with Uso through the table

-The question is can Knight defeat Reigns at Crown Jewel next Saturday for the WWE Championship or will Reigns win to continue his longest title reign for 1160 days?

-It would be amazing to see Knight gain the respect he deserves by finally dethroning Roman Reigns as the longest reigning champion in the modern day and giving a fresh new meaning to the championship with a more deserving contender. Reigns always has a trick up his sleeve but what perfect heel doesn't am I right? The odds are The Bloodline and Paul Heyman will find a way to interfere as they always do. Sucks to say my gut feeling is that we will see Reigns walking out of Crown Jewel still the longest-reigning defending champion. BUT we will see what will happen.

LWO’s Carlito & Santos Escobar vs. The Street Profits:

-It was a hard-fought match. Rey Mysterio was watching his LWO members from backstage.

-Then that stupid coward Logan Paul from out of nowhere sucker punched Mysterio. Paul did this because Mysterio is defending the WWE United States Championship against him at Crown Jewel. Then this distracted Carlito and Escobar during their match. Escobar signaled Carlito to go backstage and check on Mysterio. Then it became Escobar vs. The Street Profits in a 2 on 1 situation. Escobar tried putting up a hefty fight but it was too much for him to handle and was no match for The Street Profits who picked up the victory.

-Hopefully, Mysterio retains the U.S. Title at Crown Jewel, whoops Paul’s ass and we’ll see what happens. It should be an interesting match, to say the least.

Chelsea Green vs. Shotzi Blackheart:

-This was one I didn't have a lot of faith in but was great nonetheless. Shotzi came out with the victory but I expected more from Green being that she just hit her milestone as Women's Tag Team Champion at 100 days and I honestly don't see her losing that title any time soon nor would want her to. As much as I love Shotzi and her whole character I can't get enough of Chelsea Green as your best tag team champion out there in the women's division.

Dragon Lee vs. Cedric Alexander:

-I’m really starting to enjoy Lee who has been new to the WWE Smackdown Main Roster for about a month now and he is a great lucha libre high-flying performer. He’s a second-generation wrestler and This match was a great high-flying match and Lee picked up the victory. I cant wait to see more high flying matches like this in the near future.

LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso:

-The match was pretty good but neck to neck. I know Jimmy Uso is a great wrestler but Knight is also a fantastic wrestler and that is no debate. I had a feeling Knight was going to pick up the victory because he has the entire WWE Universe behind him and is the better performer today.

-After he defeated Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns from out of nowhere and speared Knight while he was celebrating the victory on the top rope.BUT as Reigns went for the spear Knight countered  hit his blood force trauma on Reigns. All we can do now is sit back and hope that LA Knight can go over as the next top guy after Roman Reigns and the Bloodline….. YEAHH!!

I hope you enjoyed my blog on this week’s WWE Smackdown.

Yours truly,

Dan “D-Man” Schreiber from Empty The Bench Podcast Network
