My Reaction To The Taylor Swift Era's Tour Concert Movie By: Jennifer Kate

Hey guys, I'm back, and today, I have a very special blog that I'm super excited about. I will be reacting to the Taylor Swift Era's tour concert movie. Also, I will be breaking down the movie by era (if you're a Swiftie, you know what I'm referring to) because if I were to break it down by each song, we would be here all night. But also, this blog does contain a few spoiler alerts, so if you have yet to see this movie, i don't recommend reading this blog.

Let's discuss Taylor's life before becoming a pop sensation. Taylor was born on December 13th, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, in a town called Wyomissing. Taylor spent her early years on her family's Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. By the age of 10, Taylor was at various local events. She sang the National Anthem at age 11 at the Philadelphia 76ers game. By age 12, she began writing her own songs and learning to play guitar. When she was 13 years old, her family sold their family farm in Pennsylvania and moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, so that she could pursue a career in county music. At age 14, she signed with Sony/ATV as a songwriter. While performing at multiple venues in the Nashville area, she was noticed by record executive Scott Borchetta. Borchetta signed Taylor to his fledgling Big Machine Label. Under Big Machine, she released six studio albums.

Let me give some background information for those who may not know much about Taylor or the Era's tour. The Era's tour has 6 Eras (there is a total of 10, but that's neither here nor there), the first one being The Lovers Era, then The Fearless Era, The Reputation Era, The Speak Now Era, The Folklore Era, then last but not least The 1989 Era. My favorite Era has to be either The Fearless Era or The 1989 Era. Some of my favorite songs from The Fearless Era are Love Story and You Belong With Me (both were shown in the movie). My favorite songs from The 1989 Era are Blank Space and Bad Blood (once again, both were shown in the movie). But as I stated earlier, she's a musical genius, and her music is so relatable, which makes her so successful. I love how each song has such a story, and how she performs these songs tells the song's story, which not many artists can pull off so effortlessly. But let me quickly touch on a Taylor Swift Era that is rarely talked about and is also very forgotten but has some fantastic music, and that would be the Taylor Swift Era, which is her first ever "era" when she started with county music and some of these songs include 'Tim McGraw' which was her first ever hot 100 charting song and also a part of her first ever self-titled album "Taylor Swift" in October 2006.

Let's start with the fan experience of the Taylor Swift Era Tour Concert Movie. Per my personal experience, we went to a small theater where there wasn't as much singing, but a few girls were dancing and singing, which added to the experience because many of us couldn't afford tickets. This concert is fantastic. Taylor Swift is an absolute musical genius. But fair warning, the movie is 3 hours long, so buckle up. But she starts with her older music, which is my favorite, but that's here nor there; moving on. The fan experience is fantastic. I loved singing all my favorite songs and not having to worry about the noise level since the theater was pretty empty. But her concert goes through 17 years of music and six different Eras of music. I took my boyfriend Hank Indictor with me. He thought it was cool because "not everyone can afford her concert, and it was a cool way for those who can't afford it to see her perform in a concert venue." He adds, "Whether or not you are a Swiftie, this movie has something for everyone." If you ever wanted to see Taylor perform, this is the best opportunity, and it's much cheaper than actually paying to see her in concert.

Let's also talk about Taylor's outfit changes throughout the concert (16 outfit changes in total). Each era has a different outfit, which is very clever. Some eras also had props, which helped set the scenes for certain Eras/songs. I also love her relationship with her backup singers and dancers; all her dancers and backup singers looked like they had so much fun. I almost forgot one thing I wanted to mention quickly. Some of you may have seen the articles and stuff that have come out talking about the bonuses and stuff that Taylor is giving to her staff, and the total is over $55 million (that's total for her entire staff). These staff members include riggers, sound technicians, and catering.

Let's talk about the blockbuster of a banging start to its era in the movie theater (see what i did there), but man, did this movie get off to a hot start. So far, it's made $96 million, beating out Justin Bieber's movie "Never Say Never," which made $73 million opening weekend, and also beating out Michael Jackson's movie "This Is It," which previously held second place with $72 million opening weekend. By the way, a quick fun fact: The Eras tour movie made $39 million on opening night. I believe the money this movie made proves her absolute dominance over the entire music industry. Also, one more quick fun fact is that AMC movie tickets for the Eras Tour are $19.89, paying a bit of homage to her 1989 era, which is super cool. But for kids aged 2 to 12 and seniors over 60, it costs $13.13, referencing Taylor's well-known lucky number 13. Fun fact: Taylor Swift was born on December 13th, 1989, which, again, if you know Taylor Swift's music and Eras hense her 1989 era.

But overall, I loved my Eras tour movie experience, and I speak for many of us swifties. Another quick fun fact is if you went to an AMC movie theater, you could get Taylor Swift merchandise such as a Taylor Swift popcorn bucket and Taylor Swift fountain drink cup. AMC did awesome with their cool merch items, and I know it made fans very happy. I also love that on the AMC website, they encourage dancing and singing but also want you to respect other guests, and that's awesome and super classy by AMC!

This about wraps it up for me here with this blog, but if you are a Taylor lover or just like her music, I highly recommend this concert movie. But thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope I only had a few spoiler alerts in this blog, but anyway, have a great day/night, and I will catch you guys in the next one.
