NFL Buzz: Tom Brady Eyeing NFL Return? By Grant Winsauer
This past Friday, Tom Brady appeared on the Deepcut with Vicblends channel to discuss a potential NFL return, fatherhood, and retirement.
Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT of football, having appeared in 10 Super Bowls and winning seven of those appearances. He lost to Eli Manning and the New York Giants twice in 2007 and 2011, and his final loss was in 2017 against Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles.
In his 22-year NFL career, he played for two teams: the New England Patriots for 19 years and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years. According to ESPN.com, Brady passed for 89,214 yards with 649 touchdowns and 212 interceptions. I don’t understand why he would want to come back because of the number of times he has been to and won the Super Bowl. What more does he have to prove?
During the interview, Brady said he would be intrigued to return if teams suffered an unexpected injury. According to MSN.com, Brady's three teams he would be open to playing for are the 49ers, the Raiders, and the Patriots. Two of the three teams make sense because they have a lot of talent on their roster: the 49ers and the Raiders. The question mark is the Patriots, and yes, I understand that he spent most of his career there, but near the end, he had problems with the team.
I don’t think he is coming back because he is 46 years old, but I can’t completely rule it out because Brett Farve came out of retirement at 39 to play two years for the Vikings before finally hanging it up at 41.
It will be interesting to see if Brady returns to football and, if he does, how well he plays based on his age.
