Right Wingers Accuse Skittles Of Going Woke By: Jennifer Kate

Well, guys, I'm back, and today we're going to be talking about right-wingers accusing Skittles of going woke. Yeah, you read that right. But before we get into that, if you guys are new here, let me briefly introduce you. I'm Jennifer Kate. I'm a producer for Fruity Serial here on the Empty The Bench Podcast Network.

So, let's dive right into this crazy story. As the title of this blog would say, Right-Wingers are accusing Skittles of going woke because Skittles is now supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement and the LGBTQIA+ Community. Now, with the Black Lives Matter Movement, I can understand why people would be slightly shocked by that. Still, the LGBTQIA+ part makes no sense to me because Skittles has a slogan called "taste the rainbow," and the LGBTQIA+ community has a rainbow flag. It makes sense, plus Skittles' color palette is a rainbow. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! Right-Wingers are finding any excuse to cause drama and annoy the rest of us because their arguments are so pathetic to the point it's almost laughable.

For some of you who may have not heard about this story or haven't been following this story, let me give you a little comparison. Right-Wingers are comparing this Skittles situation to Bud Light and Dylan Mulvaney. Skittles has changed its packaging designs to have the sun and the moon walking on a rainbow while holding hands, and another has the word "pride" in multiple colors, a mouth with the rainbow pouring out of it, and the words "bi, ace, lesbian, queer, trans and gay." The biggest concern with the packaging has a few kids on skateboards riding on a halfpipe with the phrases "skate & live," "joy is resistance," and "black trans lives matter" written on it. I don't see an issue with this. Right-wingers want to take us back to when the "societal norms" were being followed. They want the world to be two genders and the world to live according to the men in control. I think it's time for them to stop living in the past and start seeing the future.
