D-Man's WWE Fastlane Report By: Dan Schreiber

I am Dan "D-Man" Schreiber from the Empty The Bench Podcast Network. I've been a big wrestling fan for years and enjoy meeting wrestlers at signings. I have met a lot of wrestlers throughout the years. Here are some wrestlers still in WWE that I have met: John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, Cody Rhodes, and Charlotte Flair. This week, I'll explain my thoughts on the WWE pay-per-view Fastlane.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs. Damien Priest & Finn Balor of The Judgment Day defending The WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships:

-This was a crazy, entertaining match. During the match, I felt the rest of The Judgment Day members would come out to ringside to interfere, and I was correct. Dirty Dom and Rhea Ripley came down to ringside to help interfere for Balor and Priest to win the match. JD McDonagh also came down and tried to prove his loyalty to join The Judgment Day for weeks to help interfere. Then, without the ref noticing, Ripley at ringside took Priest's Money In The Bank briefcase and smashed Uso in the head, and Balor went for the Pin. After that, I thought the match was over, and Priest and Balor would retain the tag titles. I was so glad Uso could kick out before the three count.

-All the interference from those members at ringside having to with The Judgment Day and especially with Balor and Priest. It was like a five-on-two situation against Rhodes and Uso. Since Uso and Rhodes are great wrestlers, they can overcome situations in matches. I felt they would win the tag team titles, and I was glad they did. Rhodes and Uso are going to make a pretty good newer tag team.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar of the LWO vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits:

-Since Mysterio's other members of the tag team group LWO were injured except Escobar from Lashley and The Street Profits attacking them on Friday Night Smackdown. They went through with match vs. Lashley and The Street Profits in a two-on-three tag team situation. I thought at first Mysterio and Escobar were screwed and going to lose the match.

-During the match It was very unexpected when Carlito made a surprise entrance to help as the third partner to Mysterio and Escobar. I thought that was awesome. Mysterio, Escobar, and Carlito ended up picking up the victory.

Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka vs. Iyo Sky defending WWE Smackdown Women's Championship:

-During this triple threat match, it was exciting to watch. Sky is part of Bayley's tag team group Damage CTRL. Sky told Bayley that she wanted no help during the match and wanted to prove that she could go into the match by herself.

-During the match, I thought interference was going to happen, and I was right about that. Bayley came to the aid of Sky to cause distraction in the match. Then Sky picked up the victory due to Baley's distraction.

-My take on this is Bayley helping Sky win when she wasn't supposed to come down to ringside anyway. Bayley is doing anything to help her keep the title so she can eventually turn on Sky to be in a feud for the title. It remains to be seen.

John Cena & LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso of The Bloodline:

This was a great match. I'm glad Cena and Knight defeated Sikoa and Uso of The Bloodline.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Seth Rollins defending for the WWE World Heavyweight Companionship in a last-man-standing match:

-This match was grueling, and Rollins' wrestling career was on the line that could end due to injury. Nakamura is more vicious and dangerous to wrestle against. He sure caused Rollins a lot of punishment to his back during the match because he knows he has a history of injuries with his back. The match was also extreme, putting you on the edge of your seat. Overall, this was an excellent main-event match to watch. I'm so glad Rollins won the match and retained the title.

I hope you enjoyed my blog from WWE Fastlane.

Yours truly,

Dan "D-Man" Schreiber from Empty The Bench Podcast Network
