Detroit Pistons Are Making History…Just Not In A Good Way By: Brody Sorbera

Loss 28! Give it up for loss 28! Ok, you might not get that reference but you get the idea. The Pistons are making history just not in the way they want to. As of me typing this, they are on an epic 27-game losing streak and their next game is against the Celtics so that should be loss number 28. Not even the young guard Cade Cunningham scoring 41 points could help them in their 27th straight loss. Cunningham emphasized the teams' need to put their heads up, “there’s nothing positive about this situation right now that we’ve put ourselves in, so that’s why we’ve got to dig deep and get ourselves out”.

Things have gotten so bad that at a home game, fans were chanting to team owner Tom Gores to “sell the team”. Even then, team owner Tom Gores shared an optimistic message. “We have a good core. We have a good foundation. We have to not panic and do the right thing, execute, and have urgency. So that’s our balance.” First-year head coach Monty Williams has his work cut for him, trying to get any confidence back into the locker room which seems like an impossible feat. They are up against Boston next game.
