Friends Star Matthew Perry Passed Away at 54 By Breana Blackman

We’ve all heard the term friends come and go. On Saturday night TMZ and other news outlets broke the news that former ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry passed away at his home. Matthew is well known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends. Perry was just 54 years old.

TMZ reports that Perry was found in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home. No drugs were found and no foul play was involved. First responders were called to the scene for cardiac arrest so it’s safe to assume this was just an accident. 

Matthew Perry is survived by his parents John Bennett Perry and Suzanne Perry. He also leaves behind his five siblings Mia Perry, Willy Emily Madeleine and Caitlin Morrison. 

Perry was just 24 when he booked his role on Friends. Despite his new profound success, he struggled with addiction in the late 90s. Perry did not let this hold him back and founded the Perry House that provided sober living for men battling similar issues.

My heart goes out to Matthew Perry‘s family, friends and former cast members during this difficult time. As the news broke out over on X me and many of the individuals that I follow were in shock.
