S.O.S Joe Jonas Files for Divorce By: Jennifer Kate

Well, guys, I'm back again. Are you guys getting sick of me yet? I hope not. This blog will be an interesting one. I will be spilling the tea on the Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner divorce. If you guys don't know how I am, I'm Jennifer Kate, a producer for Fruity Serial here on the Empty The Bench Podcast Network.

So, let's get into the tea on this divorce. So, as I am writing this, official word has come out that Joe Jonas has filed for divorce and joint custody of the couple's two children. Now, let me get into their entire relationship because they have been together since 2016 and have been married for 4 of those years. The couple got engaged and got married in 2017. I believe in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas and later at a lavish affair in the French Countryside. Then, in 2020, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Willa, and in July 2022, the couple welcomed their second child.

As i am writing this blog, there has yet to be much information released on this topic. Still, we do know why Joe Jonas officially filed for divorce, which is why the marriage between the two is irretrievably broken. But on September 5th, 2023, Joe Jonas filed for dissolution of the wedding in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The petition also reads that the children have been residing with Jonas in Miami but that "it is in the best interest of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility." Rumors have started swirling on the internet saying she liked to party and he liked to stay home because the two have very different lifestyles. Also, another small rumor is that the two have a prenup again. This is all just a rumor because we have yet to learn if this is true or not as of yet. Also, it's been reported that Turner and Jonas sold their Miami home for $15 Million in August after it had been on the market for months.

Now, onto my take on this whole situation. Do I fully agree with the swirling rumors? No, not at all, and let me explain why. One of the reasons starts strong. I don't love that the children are being brought up. I understand they have kids, but leave the littles out of this. They are just babies they won't understand. The second reason is who cares if they have a prenup? I understand one taking more than the other. All I know is that in the past, spotlighted cases like this have proven to be damaging because they both make so much money that as long as they use that money correctly and to support themselves and their kids, it shouldn't be as big as of issue as some people have made it out to be. Now also something i disagree with, which in my opinion is wholly made up and just completely irrelevant, is the fact that she likes to party like so what as long as she doesn't come home wasted or do something to herself, others, or her children then again it shouldn't be pointed out as such a big deal with all have demons and issues. Still, they shouldn't be anyone else's business.
